Hi everyone.
Wishing the family much comfort during this difficult time. Chanuka is the time of shining the light and specifically the light the Jewish people have lived by since they became a nation.
The light of the holy Torah- Ner mitzvah vetorah ohr . I met Rabbi Isaacson senior a couple times but on one occasion I had a proper sit down and learn with him. I just want to say with all due respect that I have never met anyone in my life who encompassed such a vast knowledge of Tanach and not just the raw data but also understanding the interconnected ness of sources.
Understanding the times they were in when they were recorded and understanding the details of the meanings of the specific choice of language of the verses. At the time it was a pleasure to have met such a giant in Torah. Not only this but I also enjoyed his pleasant manner in which he invited questions and full willingness to discuss and delve into any number of topics.
So from my experience I just want to say that I am just saddened that a lot more of my questions were never discussed with Senior Rabbi Isaacson. Sending live and light and support to the family.
